Cara McShane is a Sinn Fein representative sitting on the Causeway Coast & Glens Council, representing the Glens DEA.
Patricia O'Lynn was elected onto Mid and East Antrim Council in May's local government election, representing Ballymena. The Alliance councillor is employed as a Regional Programme Manager for an organisation which combats school exclusion in Northern Ireland.
The son of the late DUP leader Ian Paisley, Ian Paisley Jr has represented North Antrim since 1996 when he was elected to the Northern Ireland Forum for Political Dialogue. In 1998 he was elected to the Northern Ireland Assembly. The former MLA served as Chairman of the Agriculture Committee and also as a Junior Minister in the Office of First Minister and Deputy First Minister from 2007 until 2008. He has been an MP for North Antrim since 2010 when he replaced Dr Paisley after he stepped down.

Former UUP leader Robin Swann has been an MLA for North Antrim since 2011. Mr Swann replaced Mike Nesbitt as Ulster Unionist leader in 2017. He stepped down before this year's General Election after reflecting on his position as party leader and the impact it had on his role "as a husband and a father".
