The daughter of former Ulster Unionist leader Harry West, Diana Armstrong has been part of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council since she was co-opted in 2016. She went on to top the poll in Erne North in 2019 and was also re-elected in 2023.

Paul Blake previously served as a councillor for the Enniskillen area, but was eliminated in the Fermanagh and District Council election last May. His party describes him as "a champion for local health services and schools".

Gerry Cullen stood as a candidate in last year's council elections in the Dungannon DEA of Mid Ulster District Council. It came 22 years after he had last stood for election as an Independent in the 2001 local election. He was previously a Dungannon District councillor from 1989 to 1997, representing the Workers' Party and then the Democratic Left.

Pat Cullen recently stepped down as the head of the Royal College of Nursing in order to run in the election. Ms Cullen grew up in Co Tyrone and qualified as a nurse in 1985 before going on to hold senior roles, including director of nursing at the Public Health Agency. She joined the RCN in 2016, becoming NI director three years later, and chief executive in 2021. During the campaign, she was criticised for her failure to condemn the Omagh and Enniskillen bombings, although she was defended as a "good woman" by party leader Mary Lou McDonald.
